Brorsons traditions for transitioning from primary to secondary school:

To make the transition from primary to secondary school easier for the students, Brorsonskole has a few principals and traditions that they do every year. A few months before summer vacation, The 6th grade teachers get together to discuss the students and create the new classes for the following year. If there are other schools involved, these teachers are also invited. After the new classes have been created, the parents and the students are invited to a barbecue at the school. The goal is to create a casual environment, where parents, students and the new teachers can get to know each other. The first few weeks of the school year, a lot of time is devoted to team building activities in the new classes. To further strengthen the class identity, the newly created 7th grade classes take a student trip at the beginning of the school year, usually to Copenhagen.
